Meet our Pastors



Pastor Joel and Pastor Sarah enjoy working together as a clergy couple! Pastor Joel’s particular areas of focus include visitation and ministry with older adults. Pastor Sarah particularly enjoys working with the children and leadership of each congregation. They have four incredible children who also bring their own unique gifts and talents to their family and their life of ministry together.

Our Mission: To proclaim God's Word and serve God's people as we continue to seek partnerships with other congregations.



Cross Roads Confirmation will be held on Sunday, October 29th with a special joint worship service. The service will begin at St. John’s at 8:30 am and then move to finish at Rock Creek. A time of gathering and refreshments will take place before the service at St. John’s.

We congratulate our Cross Roads Confirmands: Cael Gast, Erica Gast, Madden Howe, Mylie Howe, Karis Nye, and Abby Rachut.



The Mitchell County CROP Hunger Walk will take place on October 15th at United Church of Christ in Osage. Registration begins at 1:00 pm with the walk starting at 1:30 pm. Donation envelopes and sign up sheets are located at each church. Help to end hunger one step at a time.



Rock Creek Church

Women’s Wreath Workshop for October 21st is rescheduled to November 18th from 9 am - 12 pm. New sign up sheet will be up this weekend. Let Bev Mathers know if this date does not work for you and you were registered. More options may be available. All Cross Roads members welcome.



Sacred Heart Oratory of Meyer, Iowa would like to invite you to their Drive-Thru Turkey & Pork Loin Supper on Sunday, October 29th, from 3:30 to 6:30pm. Menu includes turkey, pork loin, dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, sauerkraut, and cookies. Free Will Offering.



Monday Coffee at St. Luke



St. Luke Lutheran Church invite you to join them every Monday morning from 9:00-11:00am for coffee, fellowship, and fun. Everyone is welcome! A free will offering will go to the local food bank.



You are invited to a Tuesday
morning Bible study!



Every Tuesday at 7:00am a group from across the Cross Roads congregations will gather for Bible Study on the upcoming Sunday gospel reading. You are welcome to attend via Zoom or in person at AmericInn in Osage. Contact Pastor Sarah or Pastor Joel if you would like the Zoom login information.

Cross Roads Lutheran Parish consists of four North Central Iowa Lutheran congregations. Faith, Mitchell; Rock Creek, Osage; St. John's of Rock Township, Osage and St. Luke, Nora Springs came together to fulfill their mission to spread God's word locally and beyond.

The congregations are members of the NE Iowa Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The Parish was founded April 16, 2012.
